Upgrades are intended for authorized users only. They will not run unless you have appropriate CDs from us for system files and have passwords that we provide. Contact us if you have any problems or desire to upgrade or purchase our products. To download the following updates, right click once on the item you wish, select “Save Target As”, and save in your TalllyMaster directory (default is c:\tallymaster). Then go to the downloaded file, unzip it, export/backup your inventory from your present version and import it into your new version, and proceed to enjoy the advantages. Updates posted 3/8/10. The 4+ version requires that you be an authorized user of version 4+, or at a minimum an authorized user of previous versions using 4+ for trial purposes only. It can be purchased for $500 over versions below 3.99. Please contact us. This version includes inventory management, label printing to any Windows compatible printer, availability report sent to a web site, and other program enhancements. Versions less than 3.99 have all corrections and enhancements except for the inventory management. Serial PC to PDA communications - In 2009 Microsoft changed the XP operating system to fix a security issue by removing the mscomm32 program. We were using that program for serial communications. The industry pundits are saying the change is like having an automobile with one flat tire, then solving the program by removing all the tires. Anyhow, the result is that the serial communications for TallyMaster will not work if Microsoft has either manually or automatically installed update 969898 or 973346. You could remove the update, but if you have auto update turned on, it will be installed the next time a check is made. The Palm Desktop will work serially as it uses internal programming to do so. We have changed TallyMaster to use internal programming for the serial port and it will work on XP and Vista 32 and 64 operating systems. USB PC to PDA communications - XP and Vista 32 will work with USB communications with TallyMaster. Vista 64 will not work on USB because there is no driver we can use at this time. Vista 64 will work serially, so if you are upgrading your computer and wish to use Vista, please contact us for serial cable or instructions.
