PotMaster was developed to take inventory of products based primarily on when they were going to be ready to sell.  This has baeen termed seasons. This program differs from TallyMaster, which inventories products by size and grade.

PotMaster PC program allows maintenance of the various codes, names, notes and the inventory.  The PDA program downloades this data, and allows the addition of product codes and locations in the field.  The concept is designed to allow taking complete inventory from scratch, permitting the ease of data entry from drop down tables.  It can also allow downloading existing inventory and quantities to carry around as a reference, editing or adding as needed, then uploading any changes to update inventory records.

PotMaster uses product codes that are segmented up to six 3 digit codes.  This is not as hard to implement as it may at first seem, and is a very sensible method.

PotMaster data entry is manual, but plenty of assistance is given to make it easy and even enjoyable.  Then when you get back to the office, take a few seconds and you have your inventory updated.
